Dermalogica is a legendary American professional brand, founded in 1986 by skin therapist Jane Wurwand based on one insightful principle: skin reacts to how it is treated, not to chronological age. The brand organizes products into families that can be combined with each other. The most popular choices in our shop:

• BioLumin-C — stabilized Vitamin C: serum, moisturizing gel, eye cream, and SPF 50 protection. For dull skin and early signs of hyperpigmentation.
• Daily Microfoliant, Milkfoliant, and Superfoliant — water-activated exfoliating powders. The rice-based Microfoliant is gentle and suitable for daily use, the vegan oat-based Milkfoliant is for sensitive skin, and the charcoal-based Superfoliant is stronger, for skin exposed to pollution. Refills are available for each.
• UltraCalming and Stabilizing Repair — for reactive skin prone to redness and stinging. Cleansing gel-cream, serum concentrate, mist, and barrier-repairing cream.
• Breakout Clearing — for blemishes and oily skin: cleansing gel, liquid peel, spot booster, liquid patch, and lightweight moisturizer.
• PowerBright — for hyperpigmentation: serum, peel, night cream, and SPF 50 cream.
• Dynamic Skin and Phyto Nature — anti-age: retinol serum, strengthening serum, exosome treatment, lifting and oxygenating creams.
• PreCleanse — oil for the first step of double cleansing, also available in a micellar version with prebiotics.

How to build a Dermalogica routine

The brand is based on double cleansing: first the PreCleanse oil, which dissolves makeup and SPF, then a gel or milk matched to your skin condition. Only on such prepared skin do active ingredients make sense — applying a Vitamin C serum to uncleaned skin is a waste of product.

The order during the day: cleanse, toner or mist, serum, cream, and finally SPF. In the evening, instead of SPF, use a regenerating cream or a retinol treatment. Use powder exfoliation 2–3 times a week, not daily if you are also using retinol or acids.

Frequently asked questions

Is Dermalogica good for sensitive skin? Yes — the UltraCalming line was created specifically for reactive skin. It is worth avoiding the simultaneous introduction of retinol and strong acids.

What is the difference between Microfoliant and Superfoliant? The strength of exfoliation. Microfoliant is enzymatic and rice-based, suitable for daily use; Superfoliant contains charcoal and acids — it is used less frequently, for more resilient skin.

Are the products tested on animals? No. Dermalogica does not conduct animal testing, nor does it commission third parties to do so.
