DermoMedica is a Polish dermocosmetic brand with a professional, clinical approach — high concentrations of active ingredients and short, well-thought-out formulas. Here you will find retinal instead of retinol, azelaic acid in several forms, and 20% Vitamin C. At J'ADORE Instytut, we carry the full portfolio: face, body, and hair care, ampoules, and mineral makeup.
The active ingredients the brand is built around
- Retinal (retinaldehyde) — in 0.05% and 0.1% creams and an eye version. Retinal works faster than retinol because it requires only one conversion step in the skin instead of two.
- Azelaic acid — the most extensive line: cream, cleanser, TRX foam, 60 ml booster, and even a scalp peeling shampoo. For vascular skin, rosacea, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
- Vitamin C — in several variants: 20% Vitamin C Serum, Supreme Vitamin C AOXN, Phloretin C, Ferulic C 15% and 20% in ampoules, Vitamin C+E.
- Peptides — Copper Multipeptide Serum, Argireline TRX, Neuropeptide Cream, Peptide Caviar Cream.
- Niacinamide (B3) — B3 TRX Cream, Healing B3-LA Serum, Snail B3.
- Mineral SPF 30–50+ protection — creams, lotions, body sticks, CC Cream SPF 50+, and protective powder.
- Trichology line — Growth Hair Serum in several variants, zinc ampoules, BHA and CICA shampoos, growth factor mask.
- Nanocellulose masks — targeted treatments for the face, neck, and eye area.
How to choose DermoMedica products
The brand is highly concentrated, so it is not advisable to start with several actives at once. A sensible order: first, one preparation for the main problem (retinal in the evening or azelaic acid for redness), plus gentle cleansing and a mineral filter in the morning. Vitamin C and retinal should be used at different times of the day — C in the morning, retinal in the evening.
For vascular and rosacea-prone skin, azelaic acid is a safer starting point than retinal. For hyperpigmentation, a combination of tranexamic acid + Vitamin C in the morning and retinal in the evening works well, but should be introduced gradually, 2–3 weeks apart.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between retinal and retinol? Retinal is one conversion step closer to the active form of Vitamin A, so it works faster at a comparable concentration. It is also often better tolerated.
Can azelaic acid be used daily? Yes, it is one of the gentler actives — it is sometimes even recommended during pregnancy, but always confirm this decision with your doctor.
Are the products suitable after treatments? The CICA line, the ceramide line, and the Post Treatment Scar Balm SPF 50 were created specifically for post-treatment skin. In case of fresh inflammation, wait and consult a specialist.
