Guide · Anti-aging
The first wrinkles, sagging contours, dull complexion — skin aging rarely starts when we notice it. The good news is that it largely depends on us: even 80% of visible signs of facial aging result from the sun and lifestyle, not from the calendar itself. In this guide, we show how to realistically slow down this process — combining home care with office treatments, decade by decade.
Why does skin age — and why most of it depends on you
Skin aging is the sum of two processes. The first — internal (chronological) aging — is written in our genes: with each decade, collagen production decreases (by about 1% per year after the age of 25), elastin weakens, and the skin becomes thinner and less elastic. We have no influence over this.
The second — external aging (photoaging and lifestyle) — accounts for most of what we see in the mirror. It is estimated that up to 80% of visible signs of facial aging result from UV exposure, not from the passage of years. Contributing factors include tobacco smoke, sugar in the diet, lack of sleep, chronic stress, and air pollution. This is good news: since most of the mechanism is external, it means it can be realistically slowed down.
Anti-aging prevention stands on two legs: daily home care and office treatments, which reach deeper than any cream can. The best results come from combining both — and starting earlier than intuition suggests.
When to start? Decade by decade
There is no single "right age" for anti-aging — there is a right moment for each element. Prevention looks different for a twenty-year-old and differently for someone in their fifties, but the first pillar (sun protection) is common for all.
| Age | Goal | At home | At J'adore office |
|---|---|---|---|
| 20+ | Protection and prevention | SPF daily, antioxidant (vit. C), hydration | Cleaning, hydration, consultation |
| 30+ | Collagen stimulation | Retinol in the evening, peptides, hyaluronic acid | Needle mesotherapy, peels, biostimulation |
| 40+ | Tightening and density | Retinol + peptides, skin under the control of a cosmetologist | Thermolifting, collagen therapies, photo-rejuvenation |
| 50+ | Lifting and regeneration | Nourishing formulas, active ingredients in higher concentrations | Thermolifting, threads, aesthetic medicine treatments |
The rule is simple: the earlier you implement the first pillar, the less work all subsequent ones will have. Sun protection at the age of 25 does more for the facial contour than the most expensive repair cream at the age of 55.
Pillar 1: Photoprotection — the most effective anti-aging cream that exists
Daily sun protection is the only skincare ingredient with proven anti-aging effects confirmed in clinical studies. SPF filter protects collagen and elastin fibers from breakdown, prevents pigmentation, and the formation of wrinkles. Used all year round — even in winter and on cloudy days, as UVA radiation penetrates through clouds and windows.
For aging prevention, mineral filters (zinc oxide, titanium dioxide) are particularly effective — well-tolerated, photostable, often enriched with antioxidants that further strengthen the shield against free radicals.

Pillar 2: Active ingredients that work at home
After protection comes the time for active repair. Four groups of ingredients have the strongest evidence of effectiveness in slowing down aging — and it's worth building a routine around them, rather than around fleeting trends.
- Retinoids (retinol, retinal) — the best-studied group of anti-aging. They accelerate skin renewal, stimulate collagen, smooth wrinkles, and even out skin tone. We introduce them in the evening, gradually, starting from low concentrations.
- Vitamin C — an antioxidant that neutralizes free radicals in the morning and supports collagen synthesis, while also brightening the skin. It works great with SPF filter.
- Peptides — signal the skin to produce more collagen; gentle on the skin, good for those who do not tolerate retinol.
- Hyaluronic acid — does not build collagen but binds water and immediately smooths fine lines of dehydration, restoring skin firmness and "plumpness".
Additionally, buffered exfoliating acids (e.g., glycolic in liposomal form) work well as gentle renewers — improving smoothness and radiance without aggressive action. Below is a set of proven products from our store, one for each pillar of the routine.

The principle of a good routine
Do not combine everything at once. In the morning: antioxidant (vit. C) → hydration → SPF. In the evening: retinol or peptides → regenerating cream. Introduce new actives one at a time, every 1–2 weeks, observing the skin's reaction. More products do not mean better — it means a higher risk of irritation.
Pillar 3: Office treatments — where cream cannot reach
Home care works at the epidermis and upper skin layers. Office treatments reach the dermis, where fibroblasts produce collagen — and there they effectively stimulate their work. At J'adore Instytut, we work with professional devices and protocols that we tailor to the age and condition of the skin.
| Treatment | How it works | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Needle mesotherapy | Microinjections of revitalizing cocktails directly into the skin | Hydration, radiance, first signs of aging (30+) |
| Biostimulation / collagen therapies | Stimulating fibroblasts to produce their own collagen | Loss of firmness, skin density (30–40+) |
| Thermolifting (NIR) | Controlled heating of the dermis, tightening fibers | Contour tightening, non-surgical lifting (40+) |
| Photo-rejuvenation Dye-VL | Selective light for capillaries, pigmentation, and complexion | Photoaging, uneven complexion, redness (30+) |
| Medical peels | Controlled exfoliation and skin renewal | Dull complexion, fine wrinkles, pigmentation |
Treatments work best in series and in combination with good home care — a treatment room without daily protection is work that the sun can reverse. The choice of method, number of sessions, and breaks always starts with a consultation, as every skin ages differently.
How to combine office and home into one plan
The most effective prevention is not a single "miracle" product or one spectacular treatment, but a consistent system: photoprotection and actives at home, and deeper stimulation in the office every few weeks. A cosmetologist helps set the order — for example, holding off retinol for a few days before a peel or enhancing hydration after thermolifting.
The youngest-looking skin is the one that was cared for before wrinkles appeared — not the one that was tried to be fixed after the fact.
If you don't know where to start, begin with two things: daily SPF and consultation, during which we will assess the condition of your skin and create a plan tailored to your age, lifestyle, and expectations.
What to remember
Most visible aging is caused by the sun, not the calendar — which is why SPF is the most important anti-aging step. At home, build a routine around four pillars: vitamin C in the morning, retinol or peptides in the evening, hyaluronic acid for hydration, and regular, gentle exfoliation. In the office, opt for mesotherapy, biostimulation, and thermolifting, which no cream can replace. Start early and act consistently — it works better than any "quick fix" intervention.
Frequently Asked Questions
At what age should I start anti-aging care?
Ideally from your twenties — at this stage, it's mainly about protection: daily SPF filter and antioxidant. Active ingredients like retinol and peptides, as well as collagen-stimulating treatments, are usually introduced around thirty, when natural collagen production begins to decline. However, it's never too late — good care and treatments improve skin condition at any age.
What gives more results — cosmetics or treatments in the office?
The best results come from combining both. Cosmetics work daily at the epidermis level and maintain results, while treatments reach the dermis and effectively stimulate collagen production where creams cannot reach. A treatment room without home care or home care without treatments yields weaker results than a well-structured, joint plan.
Do I really have to use SPF daily, even in winter?
Yes. UVA radiation, responsible for photoaging, works all year round, penetrating through clouds and windows. Daily sun protection is the most proven anti-aging step in all skincare — it protects collagen and prevents pigmentation regardless of the season.
Where to start if I'm doing almost nothing today?
Start with two things: a daily SPF filter in the morning and a cosmetic consultation. SPF immediately stops the strongest aging factor, and the consultation allows you to select the next steps (antioxidant, retinol, treatments) for your skin instead of buying products blindly.
Can I use retinol and vitamin C together?
Yes, but at different times of the day. Vitamin C is used in the morning — it supports antioxidant protection under the SPF filter. Retinol works best in the evening. Separating them in time reduces the risk of irritation and allows each ingredient to work under optimal conditions.
How quickly can I see the effects of anti-aging care and treatments?
Moisture and radiance improve within a few days. The effects of retinol and collagen stimulation take several weeks to several months — collagen rebuilds slowly. Therefore, in anti-aging, consistency wins over speed; real, lasting changes are the reward for regularity.
