Facial dermocosmetics are formulations with higher concentrations of active ingredients than mass-market cosmetics, developed with dermatologists to target specific skin concerns. In this category, we have gathered over fifteen hundred products from professional brands available at J'ADORE Instytut.

How to build a facial skincare routine

The order is always the same and depends on texture: from the thinnest to the thickest. Morning: cleansing, toner, serum, cream, SPF. Evening: makeup removal, cleansing, toner, serum or active treatment, cream.

Three elements are essential and sufficient to keep your skin in good condition: gentle cleansing, hydration, and SPF. Everything beyond that is an addition tailored to a specific goal — and it is better to introduce them one by one, observing your skin's reaction, rather than starting five new products at once.

Selection by skin condition

  • Dehydrated skin – hyaluronic acid, glycerin, panthenol, a cream that seals in moisture. Note: dehydration is a condition that can also affect oily skin.
  • Dry skin – ceramides, squalane, butters. Persistent lipid deficiency requires an occlusive layer.
  • Oily and acne-prone skin – salicylic acid, niacinamide, lightweight formulas. Hydration must not be skipped.
  • Vascular skin and rosacea – azelaic acid, centella asiatica, short ingredient lists without alcohol or fragrance.
  • Hyperpigmentation – vitamin C, tranexamic acid, retinoids, but most importantly, consistent SPF use.
  • Mature skin – retinoids and peptides in the evening, antioxidants and protection in the morning.

Rules that save time and money

One new product at a time. Introduce every 2–3 weeks — otherwise, if irritation occurs, it's impossible to know what caused it.

Results after 8–12 weeks. That is how long a full epidermal renewal cycle takes. Changing cosmetics every two weeks means none of them will have time to work.

SPF every day. Without it, retinoids and acids can produce the exact opposite effect of what is intended.

More is not better. An elaborate routine with five active ingredients is the most common cause of a compromised skin barrier.

Frequently asked questions

How does dermocosmetics differ from regular cosmetics? By higher concentrations of actives, shorter formulas, and being designed for a specific concern rather than "all skin types."

Do I need a consultation? When using retinoids, acids, and treating hyperpigmentation — it is strongly recommended. You can schedule a skincare consultation at J'ADORE Instytut.

Does more expensive mean more effective? No. What matters is the concentration, delivery system, and regularity of use, not the price of the packaging.
