Two acids work here at different depths. Salicylic acid (1.5%), as a beta-hydroxy acid, penetrates the sebaceous glands and limits bacterial activity, while gluconolactone—a large-molecule polyhydroxy acid—exfoliates the surface while providing hydration, so the epidermis loses its roughness without sacrificing comfort. Soothing additions include aloe vera juice, Canadian willowherb extract, hibiscus, oregano, and thyme.
Nighttime treatment for acne-prone and oily skin, as well as skin with blackheads and uneven texture, does not require daily use: one to three times a week is sufficient. The product's pH is 3.6-3.8.
