Lymphatic Drainage Voucher (Pressotherapy)

Lymphatic Drainage Voucher (Pressotherapy)

Mechanical lymphatic drainage (pressotherapy) utilizes specialized devices with cuffs (e.g., for the legs) that perform sequential pneumatic compression in a controlled manner – alternating inflation and deflation of air chambers. This “wave of pressure” supports venous and lymphatic circulation, which translates into reduced swelling and improved comfort and a feeling of lightness.

What is pressotherapy?

Pneumatic compression devices consist of a pump and an inflatable cuff. The pump generates pressure cycles in successive chambers, creating a “pumping” effect that helps move fluids within the tissues.

Treatment areas

  • legs (most common),
  • arms (if a cuff is available and indicated),
  • abdominal/waist area (depending on configuration and qualification).

Indications

  • edema and water retention,
  • feeling of heavy legs,
  • support for recovery and circulation,
  • part of combination therapies in anti-cellulite and body contouring plans.

Contraindications

  • suspected/active deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or pulmonary embolism,
  • acute infections of the limb/area,
  • uncompensated heart failure,
  • advanced atherosclerosis / severe peripheral artery disease,
  • situations where increased venous/lymphatic return is contraindicated (qualification required).

What does the treatment look like?

  • consultation and qualification,
  • selection of program and pressure according to needs (comfort + goal),
  • application of cuffs and the sequential compression cycle,
  • recommendations: hydration and light activity after the treatment.

Sensations during the treatment

You will feel a controlled, rhythmic pressure – usually very comfortable and relaxing.

Results and when to expect them

  • often immediate: “lighter” legs, reduced tension and swelling,
  • in a series: more stable support for recurring retention and body contouring therapies.

How many treatments?

It can be done as a single session (for comfort) or in a series – especially as support for an anti-cellulite plan, after intensive treatments, and for those prone to swelling.

Post-treatment recommendations

  • hydration,
  • walking/light activity,
  • regularity of the series if the goal is long-term improvement in comfort.

Why choose mechanical drainage at J’ADORE?

  • customized program and intensity based on your goals and sensitivity,
  • excellent complement to combination therapies,
  • a comfortable treatment for a feeling of “lightness.”
