Hair care starts at the scalp — that is where the hair is formed and where the root cause of problems visible along the lengths usually lies. Greasiness, dandruff, hair loss, and weakness typically originate from the condition of the scalp, not the hair itself. In this category, we have gathered over seven hundred products: shampoos, conditioners, masks, oils, trichological treatments, and styling preparations.

Two axes of selection: scalp and lengths

The most common mistake is choosing an entire routine based on a single problem. Meanwhile, very often the scalp is oily while the ends are dry — requiring completely different products. The solution is simple: choose the shampoo for your scalp, and the conditioner and mask for your lengths.

  • Oily scalp — balancing shampoos with salicylic acid, zinc, or azelaic acid; scrubs once a week.
  • Dry and itchy scalp — gentle, sulfate-free formulas with panthenol and urea.
  • Dandruff — anti-dandruff preparations used as a treatment, not sporadically; stubborn dandruff requires a consultation.
  • Hair loss — lotions and ampoules applied directly to the scalp; shampoo alone is not enough.
  • Dry and damaged hair — masks, oils, leave-in conditioners.
  • Color-treated hair — color-protecting, sulfate-free products, plus bond building.

Dryness vs. damage — they are not the same

Dry hair lacks lipids and needs hydration and nourishment. Damaged hair has a compromised keratin structure and requires protein reconstruction. Moisturizing damaged hair gives a short-lived effect — after washing, it returns to its initial state. Conversely, protein overload on dry hair makes it stiff and brittle.

A simple test: a wet hair, gently stretched, that returns to its shape is fine. One that stretches like rubber and does not return needs protein. One that breaks immediately needs moisture and lipids.

Frequently asked questions

How often should I wash my hair? As often as your scalp requires. If it is oily, daily — washing does not „make“ glands lazy, that is a myth.

Do I need to rotate shampoos? No. Changing makes sense when the condition of the scalp or the season changes.

How long does an anti-hair loss treatment take? Due to the hair growth cycle, the first realistic assessment can be made after about three months.
