How to prepare for your spray tan

The final result depends much more on skin preparation than on the solution itself. The day before your treatment, perform a full-body scrub and hair removal — doing so afterwards will strip away some of the color. Immediately prior to the appointment, your skin should be completely clean, free of lotions, deodorants, and makeup, as oils create a barrier and cause the tan to develop patchily.

After your session, wait as long as recommended by your specialist before showering — usually 6 to 8 hours, depending on the solution's intensity. Avoid swimming pools, saunas, and intense workouts for the first 24 hours. Daily moisturizing is the easiest way to ensure your tan fades smoothly rather than in patches.

A spray tan typically lasts between 5 and 10 days. Dry skin loses color faster, which is why using the After Tan Moisturiser and Extender visibly extends the life of your tan.

Does DHA protect against the sun? No. Spray tanning offers zero sun protection — SPF is just as necessary as it would be without a tan.
