AZELAC Moisturizing Cream 50 ml Sesderma
Azelac — gel
Moisturizing for skin prone to redness.
This gel comes from the Azelac line by the Spanish brand Sesderma, which has based its formulas on liposomal technology for years: it encloses active ingredients in microscopic phospholipid vesicles, so they reach deeper and are released gradually, instead of acting abruptly from the very first minute.
The package capacity is 50 ml. Indications: capillaries/redness.
Three problems, one ingredient
In dermatology, azelaic acid is a unique ingredient because it acts simultaneously on three things that usually require three different preparations: redness, imperfections and hyperpigmentation. It does so gently — which is why the Azelac line is tolerated by sensitive and couperose skin, which reacts poorly to classic exfoliating acids.
- —Reduction of erythema. It has an anti-inflammatory effect, soothing redness and the feeling of a "hot face".
- —Normalization of keratinization. Regulates the exfoliation process in the hair follicle openings, reducing the tendency to blackheads.
- —Brightening. Inhibits excessive melanin production in areas where inflammation has occurred.
- —Soothing of the microflora. Limits the growth of bacteria that promote the formation of imperfections.
What's inside
Naturally found in grains. In cosmetics it is valued for combining anti-inflammatory, normalizing and brightening effects, without drying out the skin.
Sesderma encloses azelaic acid in liposomes — thanks to this it penetrates gradually and does not cause the burning typical of high concentrations in classic bases.
They complement the formula with a soothing effect, so that the treatment is also possible for reactive skin.
How to use — gel
1. Apply a thin layer to cleansed skin.
2. Spread gently, patting until absorbed.
3. Use morning and evening, unless the packaging indicates otherwise.
4. In the morning, finish the ritual with SPF 50 sunscreen.
Who is the Azelac line for
Azelac is a proposition for skin that reacts with redness — and also has imperfections or marks left by them. This is a very common combination that is difficult to manage with a single product.
- —Capillary skin prone to redness. Reacts with redness to temperature, stress, and skincare products.
- —Skin with imperfections. Blackheads, papules, oily skin in the T-zone.
- —Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Dark marks that remain after a breakout for weeks or months.
- —Skin that tolerates acids poorly. It stings and becomes irritated after a classic exfoliation.
Questions and answers
Azelac is the basic line with azelaic acid. Azelac RU is a version strengthened with a depigmenting complex — it is reached for when the main problem is hyperpigmentation, not redness alone.
In liposomal form, rarely. At the beginning of the treatment, a slight feeling of warmth may occur — it usually subsides after a few days. Start by applying every other evening.
Yes. Azelaic acid does not make the skin as sensitive to the sun as AHA acids. Even so, sunscreen is mandatory if you are working on hyperpigmentation.
For redness and imperfections, the effect is sometimes visible after a month. Discoloration requires patience — a minimum of three months.
