Lymphatic Drainage Voucher (Pressotherapy)

Lymphatic Drainage Voucher (Pressotherapy)

Equipment lymphatic drainage (pressotherapy) uses devices with cuffs (e.g., for legs) that perform sequential pneumatic compression in a controlled manner – alternating filling of air chambers and their emptying. This "wave of pressure" supports venous and lymphatic circulation, which translates into reduced swelling and improved comfort and a feeling of lightness.

What is pressotherapy?

Pneumatic compression devices consist of a pump and an inflatable cuff. The pump generates pressure cycles in successive chambers, creating a "pumping" effect that supports the movement of fluids in the tissues.

Treatment areas

  • legs (most commonly),
  • arms (if a cuff is available and there are indications),
  • abdominal/waist area (depending on configuration and qualifications).

Indications

  • swelling and water retention,
  • feeling of heaviness in the legs,
  • support for regeneration and circulation,
  • element of combined therapies in anti-cellulite and shaping plans.

Contraindications

  • suspected/active deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or pulmonary embolism,
  • acute infections of the limb/area,
  • uncontrolled heart failure,
  • advanced atherosclerosis / severe ischemic vascular disease,
  • situations where increased venous/lymphatic return is contraindicated (qualification).

What does the treatment look like?

  • interview and qualification,
  • selection of the program and pressure according to needs (comfort + goal),
  • putting on cuffs and a cycle of sequential compression,
  • recommendations: hydration and light activity after the treatment.

Feelings during

A controlled, rhythmic pressure is felt – usually very comfortable and relaxing.

Effects and when to expect them

  • often immediately: "lighter" legs, reduced tension and swelling,
  • in a series: more stable support for recurring retention and in body shaping therapies.

How many treatments?

It can be done once (comfort effect) or in a series – especially as support for an anti-cellulite plan, after intensive treatments, and with a tendency to swelling.

Post-treatment recommendations

  • hydration,
  • walking/light activity,
  • regularity of the series if the goal is long-term improvement of comfort.

Why is it worth doing equipment drainage at J’ADORE?

  • selection of the program and intensity according to the goal and sensitivity,
  • great complement to combined therapies,
  • comfortable treatment for "lightness".
