Brow PMU voucher – shadow method
Brow PMU voucher – shadow method
Permanent eyebrow makeup using the shading method (also known as ombre brows or powder brows) is one of the most popular PMU techniques. It allows for an aesthetic, elegant, and very natural effect, without looking overdrawn or heavy.
What is the PMU shading method?
The shading method involves gradually depositing pigment into the upper layers of the skin to create a soft tonal transition. The head of the brow is more delicate, while the arch and tail are slightly more defined—much like makeup applied with a powder shadow.
This technique does not mimic individual hair strokes but creates the impression of a fuller, well-groomed brow, perfect for an everyday look.
Who is the shading method for?
- people with sparse or irregular eyebrows
- people who fill in their brows daily with powder or pencils
- people with oily or combination skin (the method has excellent retention)
- people who appreciate a subtle, elegant effect
- people looking to correct previous brow styling (subject to consultation)
What does the appointment look like step-by-step?
- detailed consultation and discussion of expectations
- preliminary brow drawing (mapping and facial symmetry)
- selection of pigment color to match your beauty type
- local anesthesia
- pigmentation using the shading method
- post-procedure care instructions
Effect and healing process
Immediately after the procedure, the eyebrows may appear darker and more intense—this is natural. During the healing process (approx. 7–14 days), the color gradually lightens and stabilizes. The final result is visible after about 4–6 weeks.
The result is eyebrows that are:
- optically fuller
- softly shaded
- symmetrical and tailored to your face
- natural-looking, without harsh outlines
Touch-up – an essential part of the procedure
Permanent eyebrow makeup using the shading method requires a mandatory touch-up, usually after 6–8 weeks. During the touch-up, we replenish the pigment, even out the color, and refine the shape to ensure the effect is long-lasting and aesthetic.
Longevity of the effect
The effect of permanent eyebrow makeup lasts on average from 1.5 to 3 years. Longevity depends on skin type, lifestyle, care, and sun exposure. Over time, the pigment fades evenly.
Contraindications
- pregnancy and breastfeeding
- active skin diseases in the eyebrow area
- viral and bacterial infections
- tendency to keloids
- uncontrolled diabetes
- autoimmune diseases (consultation required)
- other contraindications identified during the interview
Post-procedure recommendations
- do not wet your eyebrows for the first few days
- do not pick at scabs
- use the recommended regenerating products
- avoid saunas, swimming pools, and sun exposure until fully healed
- use SPF protection after healing is complete
