Permanent Lip Makeup (PMU) is a modern aesthetic treatment that allows you to enhance the appearance of your lips without the need for daily makeup. Thanks to carefully selected techniques and pigments, we can even out skin tone, highlight the natural shape of the lips, and optically rejuvenate them.
What is lip PMU?
The procedure involves depositing pigment into the superficial layers of the lip skin. Unlike a classic tattoo, the pigmentation is performed at a shallower depth, which allows for a soft, natural effect that gradually fades over time.
The goal of lip PMU is to enhance your beauty – not to change your facial features. The color, intensity, and technique are always tailored individually.

Effect and healing process
Immediately after the procedure, the lips may appear more intense in color and slightly swollen – this is a natural reaction. During the healing process (approx. 7–10 days), the color gradually softens, and the epidermis gently exfoliates.
The final result is visible after about 4–6 weeks, once the pigment has stabilized.
Touch-up – a crucial stage
Permanent lip makeup requires a touch-up (usually after 6–8 weeks). The touch-up allows us to set the pigment, even out the color, and perfect the final effect.
Longevity of the effect
The effect of lip PMU lasts on average for 1.5–3 years. Longevity depends on individual predispositions, skincare, lifestyle, and sun exposure.
Contraindications
- pregnancy and breastfeeding
- active cold sores (requires waiting)
- inflammation and infections in the lip area
- autoimmune diseases (after consultation)
- tendency to keloids
- other contraindications resulting from the medical interview
Post-treatment recommendations
- using regenerative products recommended by a specialist
- avoiding hot drinks and spicy foods for a few days
- moisturizing the lips and protecting them from the sun
- avoiding saunas, swimming pools, and intense exercise until healed
