Gift Card for Skin Lesion Removal
Some minor skin lesions – while usually harmless – can be aesthetically bothersome or cause discomfort (e.g., catching on jewelry, underwear, or causing irritation while shaving). At J’ADORE Instytut, we select the treatment method individually, utilizing Plasma IQ, electrocoagulation, and – in justified cases – laser technologies that support skin quality and regeneration. Every procedure requires a prior consultation and qualification to confirm that the specific lesion can be safely treated in our clinic.
How we select the method: Plasma IQ, electrocoagulation, or fractional laser?
- Plasma IQ – a spot-treatment method used for precise work on selected lesions and in areas where control and accuracy are paramount. The goal is to reduce the lesion or significantly diminish it, with the possibility of a staged therapy.
- Electrocoagulation – a technique based on the controlled application of high-frequency current, used, among other things, to treat certain vascular and skin lesions. It is particularly effective when very precise, localized action is required.
- Fractional laser – this is not a standard method for "removing" typical raised lesions; however, it may be used in justified cases as part of a therapy to improve skin quality (e.g., texture, unevenness) following qualification. The specialist decides on its application during the consultation.
What does the Plasma IQ procedure for skin lesions involve?
Plasma IQ utilizes plasma energy to create a controlled, pinpoint effect on the skin's surface. The procedure is performed locally, with an emphasis on precision and minimizing interference with surrounding tissues. The goal is to reduce the lesion or significantly diminish it in a safe and controlled manner.
What does electrocoagulation of skin lesions involve?
Electrocoagulation involves the pinpoint application of energy (high-frequency current) to a selected lesion. The method is used for the precise treatment of certain skin and vascular lesions, and the choice of settings and scope always depends on the location and nature of the lesion. After the procedure, a small scab may appear at the treatment site, and the skin regenerates in stages.
When do we consider a fractional laser in the context of lesions?
A fractional laser may be considered as part of a therapy when the primary goal is to improve skin quality in the problem area (e.g., unevenness, poor texture, post-procedural marks) – always after qualification and when appropriate indications are present. It is not the first-choice method for removing most typical raised lesions (e.g., classic fibromas), which is why the decision to use it is made on an individual basis.
Which skin lesions may qualify for the procedure?
- fibromas (small, raised lesions, often on the neck, in the armpits, or under the breasts)
- cherry angiomas (small red dots on the skin, subject to qualification; method selected individually, often electrocoagulation)
- milia (small subcutaneous lesions, most often in the face and eye area – subject to qualification and method selection)
- minor aesthetically bothersome skin lesions, e.g., xanthelasma (subject to assessment and qualification)
- lipomas – only in situations where qualification confirms the validity of in-clinic treatment (often require a different diagnostic or treatment path)
Note: not every skin lesion qualifies for in-clinic treatment. During the consultation, we assess the type, location, size, and indications for the procedure, and if necessary, we recommend the appropriate diagnostic path.
Who is this for?
- for those bothered by minor skin lesions
- for those whose lesions cause discomfort (rubbing, catching, irritation)
- for those expecting a precise, localized procedure following qualification
What does the visit look like step-by-step?
- consultation and qualification (assessment of the lesion, selection of method: Plasma IQ / electrocoagulation / possibly fractional laser as skin quality therapy)
- preparation of the skin and treatment area
- local anesthesia (if indicated, depending on the location and type of lesion)
- performance of the procedure using the selected method
- skin protection and detailed home-care instructions
Effects and healing process
After the procedure, typical post-treatment reactions may occur: redness, swelling, tenderness, and the formation of small scabs at the treatment points. The skin heals in stages, and the final appearance of the area is assessed after full regeneration. In selected cases, an additional treatment stage may be necessary.
Post-treatment recommendations
- do not pick at scabs and protect the treatment area
- SPF 50 photoprotection and avoidance of sun exposure until fully healed
- gentle regenerative skincare as recommended
- avoiding saunas, swimming pools, overheating, and intense physical exertion for the specified time
Contraindications
- pregnancy and breastfeeding
- active skin infections (including cold sores) in the treatment area
- tendency for healing disorders or keloids (requires assessment)
- certain chronic diseases and medication therapies (verified during consultation)
- other contraindications resulting from the medical history
