How to Achieve an Even Color

The sequence of steps matters even more than the product you choose. The day before: full-body exfoliation and hair removal. Directly before application: skin must be clean and dry, free of lotion and deodorant. Apply a thin layer of moisturizer to your elbows, knees, ankles, and hands — these areas have thicker keratin layers and absorb DHA more intensely, causing them to darken disproportionately.

Apply using a tanning mitt in circular motions, working from bottom to top. Wait until the product is completely dry before getting dressed, and wait the recommended duration specified by the manufacturer before showering. Follow up with daily moisturizing — dry skin sheds unevenly, causing the tan to fade in patches.
