The basis is DHA — a sugar that reacts with amino acids in dead epidermal cells, producing a brown pigment. It is a chemical reaction taking place in the skin itself, not a layer of paint on its surface.

How does self-tanner work

DHA reacts with amino acids in the stratum corneum of the epidermis, forming melanoidins — brown-coloured pigments. The effect appears gradually over several hours and lasts as long as the coloured cells remain on the skin's surface — usually five to seven days, until natural exfoliation occurs.

How to prepare the skin?

The day before, exfoliate your whole body and depilate the skin. Immediately before application, do not apply lotion — except on dry areas: elbows, knees, ankles and hands.

Why does a tan fade into spots?

Most often due to dry skin. Moisturize your body daily — it's the most effective way to ensure the color fades evenly.

How long do the results last?
