Acglicolic Classic — cream

ACGLICOLIC CLASSIC is a multifunctional moisturizing cream by Sesderma with glycolic acid and SPF15. It combines gentle exfoliating action with sun protection: it smooths the skin's surface, improves its texture, and helps fight the first signs of aging, while the filter protects against photoaging.

This is a cream from the Acglicolic Classic line by the Spanish brand Sesderma, which has based its formulas on liposomal technology for years: it encapsulates active ingredients in microscopic phospholipid vesicles, allowing them to penetrate deeper and release gradually rather than acting abruptly from the first minute.

Key active ingredients in this formula: glycolic acid, SPF filters. Indications: anti-aging, UV protection.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

Exfoliation that restores skin smoothness

Glycolic acid has the smallest molecule among fruit acids, which is why it penetrates deepest and works most effectively. It loosens the bonds between dead epidermal cells, allowing them to shed. The effect is twofold: the skin looks smoother immediately, while simultaneously becoming more receptive to everything you apply afterwards.

  • —Epidermal smoothing. Removes the layer of dead cells responsible for dullness and roughness.
  • —Renewal stimulation. Accelerates the natural cell turnover cycle, which slows down with age.

How to use — cream

1. Apply to cleansed facial skin, after your serum.

2. Spread with circular motions, not forgetting the neck and décolleté.

3. Use morning and evening, unless the packaging indicates otherwise.

4. In the morning, finish your ritual with an SPF 50 sunscreen.

Does glycolic acid increase sun sensitivity?

Yes. This is the only absolute requirement for this treatment: daily use of SPF 50, even in winter and on cloudy days. Without it, you risk hyperpigmentation instead of improvement.

How do I start the treatment?

Start with two to three evenings a week. If your skin reacts well, you can increase the frequency. Never start with daily application.

Can I combine it with retinol?

Not on the same evening. Alternating—one evening with the acid, the next with retinol—is a safe and effective routine.

My skin stings after application. Is this normal?

A brief, mild tingling sensation is normal. Burning pain, redness that lasts for hours, or peeling in patches is not. Take a break and return to less frequent application.
